Melic del Gòtic

About
The walls of the restaurant are the last vestige of the primitive convent of Montsió, built in the 15th century. They were part of the south wing of the building and its dwellings were destined for cells of penance. The rest of the convent was moved stone by stone to the high part of the city. Every time that a piece of these stones becomes detached, it is said that the kind spirit of that community sprouts again in the premises. During the following centuries it was a wine cellar for the monks of the convent, and also an antique tavern in modern period, until arrived at the contemporary age as a restaurant.

Cuisine
El Melic del Gòtic is a charcoal restaurant specialized in meats that you can taste accompanied with a selection of salads and garnish at your choice. Our wine list includes local wines and from the best Spanish origin denominations. We choose only autochthonous foods within the Mediterranean diet.
